Sadly official: The Simpsons may never die

if I got 40k to make voices for a cartoon, I wouldn't want it cancelled no matter how much it sucked :)

Unfortunately The Simpsons really stopped being funny and socially relevant by the time Bush came into office. I still don't understand one thing: the show made fun of Bill Clinton off and on for 8 years, but they almost NEVER touched George W. Bush. This is coming from a show produced by a man who is staunchly liberal. Thankfully Family Guy filled that gap.

I've never seen the appeal of the show, and don't watch it. I just wish some of my friends didn't feel the need to do the Homer voice. (I'm looking at you, IndySolo! :p ;) )

The show died with the death of Phil Hartman.

And Top41, that's my actual voice, and I'm a little sensitve about it.

D'oh!

(I hate that little exclamation with a passion, but it seemed to be apt in this one particular case. ;) )

It's apt in many cases, just like the time I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day, I kept saying, "I'll go a little later, I'll go a little later..." And when I got there, they told me he just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he'll ever come back again, he said he didn't know.

:guffaw:

Great sig, too.

Oh okay, we'll have to watch some Bart-centric episodes then. Then you'll finally get the appeal of the show and you'll start to get more pop culture references and be less of a social outcast! I'm busy this month, but we can start November 1st. I have nothing planned for that day.

Look at that. Sick vandalism! This is a deliberate mutilation of a public service message.

I've been watching The Simpsons DVD's right up to the 11th season released a week ago. Personally, I've enjoyed what I've seen, but according to the little booklet that comes with these, I'm eight years behind. Can I assume from your comments here that the show gets worse later on? What, one of the good writers leave or something?
