I read this one by chance. Loved it. I've never read a Bashir novel before and I'm wondering if I should go back and read Ceremony of Losses. Is it worth going back and reading considering that I know that Bashir saves the Andorians? And knowing how The Fall turns out.

Ceremony of Losses was my favourite of The Fall series. I couldn't help but get swept up by Bashir's passion to the save the Andorians. I found it to be a very moving and powerful book and you would do yourself a disservice if you didn't read it :)

You would probably also like Zero Sum Game. In many ways Disavowed was basically a sequel to it.

Zero Sum Game, Ceremony of Losses and Disavowed have captured Bashir perfect. I feel like I'm 'reading' Alexander Siddig, his little mannerism and everything. Mack writes a great Bashir.

Ditto I look forward to seeing the continuing Section 31series of novels with Julian Bashir. And who the heck is Control?

Well, I hope you're all patient, because it's likely I won't be able to write Section 31: Control until 2016, which means it won't be published before 2017.

You should also read Section 31: Abyss by David Weddle & Jeffrey Lang. Weddle was Executive Story Editor on DS9 and Lang wrote TNG classic Immortal Coil. Weddle later went on to write/produce on Battlestar Galactica. Its a thrilling story with Bashir pitted against an equal in more ways than one. Also theres a nice retcon link to Star Trek Insurrection in it too

Yes.

Think of the way B5's Severed Dreams works, after you've seen it once. (First time round, even if you know it's outcome, it's still jaw-dropping.)

You know they win, but seeing the how they win is epic.

I look forward to seeing how Section 31 Control will continue Julian Bashir's story arc and see who Control is and how the mystery unravels in the book.:techman:

^ Thanks! The Midnight Front trilogy been a long time coming (and it'll be a long time in development before it debuts). I'm just happy to finally be moving forward with this project, as it's one I've been researching and working on for a few years now.

Congratulations David . The Midnight trilogy sounds like a really interesting series of books.

While I am eager for the S31: Control, the Midnight series does sound interesting. I'll be keeping an eye out for them.

ETA - Congratulations:)

Congratulations, David! And I'm thrilled that you're able to work with Marco again for the first time!
