I'd rather see a spy-fi SHIELD movie than a WWII epic, but that's just me.

I'd rather see the Howling Commandos, but only if they can get Tarantino to write and direct.

If Sam Jackson's Nick Fury is anything like the Nick Fury in the comics, he's much older than he looks.

Yeah, but in his eighties? That's how old he'd have to be to be a special forces vet in a war that ended in 1945. (The SHIELD comics were published in the seventies, when it would have been less of a stretch for Nick and Co. to be WWII vets...)

The U.S. army was segregated during WW2, they might make the Howling commandos during the vietnam war.

Not sure that really matters when making a Sgt Fury movie. Its not Band of Brothers.

Both versions of Nick Fury are World War II veterans. Their aging has been slowed by various factors: the Infinity Formula for the original Fury, and the super soldier serum for the Ultimate Fury (the one inspired by Jackson).
