Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to star in Deadpool III (2024)

Among comic fans, yes, but not to the general public. I remember when the 2000 movie came out many people not having heard of X-Men at all.
Depends who you're talking about. Anyone that was a kid in the 90's has a pretty good chance of encountering some kind of X-Men media thanks to the animated series; whether it's the show itself, the tie-in merchandise that was everywhere for a few years there, or the various console and arcade videogames.
That demographic includes myself, who was very much not a comic book reader at that age, and yes, the yellow suit is still the one that comes to mind if someone were to ask me to picture "Classic Wolverine".

Have the rules changed? I only ask because back during the 2007/08 strike I know Mark Forster and Daniel Craig were allowed to work on the script for Quantum of Solace.

The issue is the rules of the Writer's Guild. Reynolds is a WGA member. Daniel Craig never was.

I wonder if they'll go with a funny title too. Maybe steal one from elsewhere. Or something that barely qualifies as a joke.

Deadpool 3: The Search For More Money.
Deadpool 3: Electric Boogaloo.
Deadpool 3: X-Men Zero.
Deadpool With A Vengeance.
Deadpool 3: The Squeakquel.
Deadpool 33⅓
I just want the marketing to be even half as good as it was for the first one. I can see it now: "From the studio that bought the studio that brought you Deadpool and Deadpool 2..."

According to union rules, under strike conditions an actor must strictly stick to the script when filming - no improv or deviation from the script of any kind allowed.

Now, that said... scripts have been known to have optional alternate lines baked into the text (Top Gun: Maverick had several such listed for Cruise's character). Don't know how much heads-up Reynolds may have had about the strike, but he could have had the script already stuffed with such alternates (all of which would be filmed) to get around the strike that way.
Pick ups are also scheduled for later which means they can redo things with new dialogue.

The shadows/darkness? They aren't going shopping in them, but the dark color would help when on stealthy missions.
Shiny black leather is about as far from stealthy as you can get for a number of reasons, not least of which because of the "shiny" part . . . and of course all the squeaking.
Plus; speaking as someone who's done night hikes and the like in places far away from streetlights: solid black does not make you disappear into shadows, it makes you stand out because congratulations; you're a solid human shape that moves. That's amateur wannabe ninja thinking. The point of camouflage is to break up recognisable shapes, not highlight them. Also: those all black special forces uniforms you're probably thinking of? That's not for stealth, that's for intimidation. Pure and simple.
For any darkness dark enough for solid black to actually work: the yellow spandex would be exactly as invisible. Ever been caving and get to the bit where they have everyone turn their lights off? You could have someone in a dayglow orange and magenta onesie two foot infront of you and it won't matter because you literally can't see a fecking thing.

Also; they wore those things in broad daylight, thus negating the entire argument. The leather jumpsuits are a stylistic choice of someone desperate to be edgy; nothing more, nothing less.
I didn't know where to put this but I thought I'd pass it along

So they're not even attempting to hide the fact that they're just evil now.
Sounds like a hairbrained attempt at intimidation, which from what I gather they're now backpaddling furiously on since it's having the opposite intended effect.
