Yeah, that’s what I was thinking of. So I guess it would depend when Ben was cast but it’s also likely that they wouldn’t be able to make jokes about The Flash’s box office performance, for example, unless they knew ages ago that it was going to underperform

Sure, but the real fun would've been seeing the MCU stars returning to their previous superhero roles, especially since it was such a coincidence that both Johnnys went on to create iconic MCU roles.
