It looks pretty legit. The only thing that seems questionable is the pillar behind them, the transition from below McGann's hand to above it doesn't seem to make sense, but it's possible there's actually a ledge there between the base piece and the body and he and Piper are just covering it entirely so it looks like a glitch.
Looks real to me. As for the beam, it looks like it's a circular arch.

Plus this is what Piper actually looks like right now. (As in this photo was taken last night.) Not only totally different hair but, let's be honest, a lot older.

That really doesn't prove anything, it takes a few seconds to put on a blond wig or a few minutes to dye her hair, and the picture is kinda grainy, so between that and different make up it's hard to judge how much older or younger she really looks there.
And I'm pretty sure I've seen footage of recent movie or TV productions where people are still wearing masks. I don't remember exactly what or where it was, I just remembering being shocked to see recent footage from something where people where still wearing masks.
I'm not necessarily saying it's legit, but nothing you said there is absolute proof that it's not.
What immediately jumped out at me with that photo is that Paul McGann is NOT wearing the Night of the Doctor outfit, which he is in nearly all imagery of him since 2013. Also, he infamously hated the wig from the TV movie, I doubt anyone would be able to talk him into a wig again if he did come back to Doctor Who.

And, yes, I agree that Billie in the image looks much younger than her current self. I was thinking about 2010 or so.

Indeed. There are plenty of people who still wear face masks, even if it's not nearly prevalent as it was five years ago.
That said, I'll admit I've been had otherwise. I was too busy hoping it to be real that I didn't notice Billie looked younger in it.
Apparently Google's ridiculously named "Nano Banana" AI image generator has lax safeguards on what can be created. The same thing was used to create loads of fake photos for 'Avengers - Doomsday' this week too.
Someone even used it to take the fake photo to generate another fake photo. (Though they were very clear that's what they did.)

Okay, that is concerning. Up to this point, I had been pretty good at detecting what was AI-generated imagery. However, that larger image is fairly seamless on a technical level, at the very least at first glance.
That concerns me greatly because this development will further fuel the misinformation discourse to a truly dangerous level.

The S15 scripts are up on the BBC's website now. I think they tried to fudge the dates on 'The Reality War' pages though as there's only a few random ones dated six months after the rest.
One change from the broadcast episode is that the 13th Doctor says she was pulled out from the Edge to stop the 15th, so the line about telling Yaz she loves her isn't in the script at all.
