Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Not got my copy yet but apparently the new DWM confirms that they're basically heading straight into S15 after S14, with half the scripts already written.

Seen people suggest that they want to get as much Ncuti filmed as possible to either give him lots of time off to do other things, or to stretch out his run once he goes on to bigger and better things!

Big Finish have just announced (at very short notice) that the next release in their River Song series will be the last. Which is odd as it's one of their most successful spin offs and just had a new Executive Producer announced for the range. (Plus if it was a planned ending, the last series would actually have worked perfectly.)

Which has led to the speculation that this was a decision imposed on them, rather than one they made. So Steven Moffat penned River Song TV series confirmed then!

Note to certain people: No I am not seriously claiming any such thing.

Well, the good news about that it is that'll give me the chance to finally catch up whenever I get back to Big Finish. I think I've only listened three or so series, the last being the one with both The Fifth and Sixth Doctors.

I wasn't interested in the River audios until I saw that the latest one has her meet:

Jackie Tyler.

Wibble.

Though HOW, unless this is pre-Moving To Pete's World and while Rose is off with Ten... though it might explain Jackie's new gung-ho attitude in Journey's End if she had survived an adventure of her own without the Doctor around?[/quote]

They've been shooting some action scenes in Cardiff yesterday and today. Some of the extras on set were heard being called
Time Agents. Given his lack of love for "Loki" is Russell about to have some fun with the original TVA?

Now be honest, if someone told you a month ago you'd be seeing this, would you have believed them?

Where was this photo originally posted?

(Can someone else ask this since he has me on ignore?)

Done.

You know, I know she looks older cause I've seen her on Eastenders and so on, but in that particular picture Bonnie looks like she's stepped onto set directly from 1986/7.

It's amazing.

Edit - I also love how they've pushed into the 'ginger' thing by giving her an orange bike and jacket.

Ties into carrot juice too.

Ha, that's funny. Bonnie told the DW Filming Locations guy that she was watching his videos of them shooting with the stunt people yesterday so knew what she'd be doing today.

He also got confirmation of the shooting schedule. They finish S14 at the end of July and then start up on S15 in October, so only a two month or so break. Long way from a year or more between series...

So I'm guessing RTD is back to burning the candle at both ends again?

Just because they have 14 and 15 in the can, that doesn't mean there's only going to be six months between them airing.
