Spoilers Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Eccleston through Whittaker only, it seems. No Tennant 2.0 / Gatwa (DisneyWho). That makes sense. No doubt Disney+ has the exclusive rights to the stuff they co-produced, at least for awhile longer anyway.

Will be interesting to see if they get the Christmas Special.

And Disney are not above selling the rights to things they don't want to show ("Nautilus" being one example) so picking up those episodes is not impossible. In fact, we might end up with a situation where TWB premieres there instead, since Disney clearly don't want to show it.

AMC+ didn't really occur to me as a possibility, but they do have quite a few genre show, although like @bdub76 said, they're mostly horror. I do find a little funny that it's going up there now, after BBC America, which is owned by AMC, has completely separated itself from the British BBC. I believe it used to be owned 50/50 by AMC and the Beeb, but AMC bought the entire thing from the BBC a few years ago and now own it 100%.

For now, you can watch new Doctor Who on Hoopla for free with a library card. And classic Doctor Who is on both BritBox and its YouTube channel in the US.

Yeah, I watched the first Matt Smith season back a month or two ago on Hoopla, and I've been working my way through Classic Who on Britbox for at least a couple years now. I started with the beginning of Jon Pertwee's run, and I'm now in the middle of Terror of The Zygons, the second serial of Tom Baker's second season.
Once I finish either Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 or The Witcher Season 4 both of which I'm currently watching, I'll probably start Matt Smith's second season.

I've been meaning to binge Matt Smith. I binged David not that long ago.

So Davies said nothing about DW at all at the talk he was giving tonight, even though it was on the promotion for it as one of the things he'd be talking about.

You'd want to believe that they wouldn't f' up on actor availability so badly but then I think back to when Jenna Coleman was the only person contracted to appear in the 50th anniversary special at one point.

Or it's just...

Idle Internet speculation.
