Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

The Master, The Rani and The Meddling Monk? Hmm, that might be onto something. "In the name of the Master, the Rani and the Meddling Monk. Amen."
Ooooo...I like that so much that I kind of hope it's true. The only problem is modern audiences are only familiar with one of them. I don't think there's enough time to introduce the other two individually before such a teaming up to hit the right way without feeling forced or hokey.

Are we in a ‘so it’s goodnight from me…and it’s goodnight from him…leave the girl it’s the man I want’ scenario.
And if all is true (and I have still not seen the pictures) then at least they got one bit of casting good and true for an old character.

If that rumor is true, I'm not to surprised that's one character I've been expecting to see again for a while. If it does turn out to be true, I'll have check out their original appearances, since I've never seen any of them yet.

I’d be surprised if they got the rights ironed out. And… you’re maybe better off reading the books of them.

RTD doesn’t sound that confident about a third series stating the doctor has reached a point of a possible hiatus and leaving it to a new generation to reinvent it

Honestly, I’m okay with it if this is the end for now. It doesn’t feel like twenty years since the show came back, but it is. That’s a fine run.

It's true, how many other shows were airing in 2005 are still on the air? The list is small, I guarantee.

But enough fretting over the possible future of Doctor Who. What I know is starting this Saturday there will be new episodes running for the next eight weeks and I plan to either enjoy them or bitch about them without worrying over whether or not this is the end.

But maybe I'm the outlier here.
