I have trouble seeing what sort of story could best be told in that timeframe. A prequel sandwiched between the 23rd and 24th centuries is going to severe handicap the writers. Are we getting to get more stories with the Ferengi or the Borg who conveniently never say their name?I agree the anthology seems odd, but setting it after TUC isn't a problem. Expecting it to be set there to fill in holes is. Bryan Fuller wants to tell a story that will connect with viewers, the setting is the means of telling that story. If the story Fuller wants to tell fits in well in that timeframe, then great. But if the timeframe is picked to fill in holes, then there will be problems. Personally I'm willing to trust Fuller picked the timeframe for the right reason.
