Robert Beltran is married

I'm assuming everyone here has heard the song Emily...on Youtube?? The sounds not great but what you can hear is beautiful!

Thank God for the one who taped that song and shared it on YouTube. :techman:

Back then I was one of the lucky ones who attended "Trekday" at Frankfurt when Robert gave us the pleasure to listen to the soft timbre of his wonderful singing voice. He's just awesome to listen to! :)

However, my personal highlight was the moment when I've finally had the heart to give him a copy of the touching story Welcome to Holland (which had been provided on his website back then) and asked him to read it for us... and he did so!! That was really stunning.

He played MUCH better on *Kiss Me A Killer*. '

Maybe it was because he hadn't had any warning about singing and playing at this Frankfurt event but the fans there insisted then handed him a guitar?

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of The Mystic Warrior? I am willing to pay :) Yes I got the Beltran bug bad!

Sorry, as far as I know, no DVD or VHS of the mini-series was ever released.

Maybe someone who taped it might be willing to share? Anyone out there???

Not possible Katherine. At the moment the Industry is well aware of the piracy issues and Joe Biden et al are jumping all over the situation.

Try contacting Warner Bros., and asking where copies can be acquired.

From memory I think Robert also wrote the words to that song. :bolian:

The film is almost a Latino version of *The Postman Always Rings Twice." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082934/

How old is his girl? Is she his-his or is she his step-daughter? If his own, damn! Not bad for 57 (at the time, right?)!

She's his own daughter, born in Germany in December 2010 and her name is Marlena.

Who finally snagged RB?
His wife is German. ;)

Good for him.. but really, having a baby at 57?

Gosh, really why not? :)
If you had the opportunity to watch Robert the way he talked about his little daughter, you would have realized how much he adores her. He's such a proud and loving father!

This is definitely no matter of age.
Just my 2 cents...

I agree, 57 is nothing compared to 80-ish which Jimmy Doohan was when his last child was born.

Did you ever wonder what Robert and his formers colleagues did last night such as "the same procedure as every year"?

Are you keeping tabs on the date this dinner happened last year Katherine?

I'd bet even the gents involved couldn't tell anyone what day and date this was in 2011! :guffaw:

P.S. Ahhhh! I see.

WOW! RB is finally married?! That's great news! :D If you had mentioned it to me ten years ago, I would have been extremely crushed and down in the dumps. But it's good to know he's happily married now with a child. :)

As I posted a year or so ago when a similar photo came out, I believe the restaurant is The Palm, looking at the wall behind them. Same place.

Now you know where to hang out in January 2013. ;)

It`s a pity that I live so far away. I`ve heard Picardo and Beltran saying that they meet regulary several times a year. I would go to the restaurant every day to wait for them and than to sit on the table with the guys.

... or rather sit at the next table and eavesdrop on them. :guffaw:

At which time they recognize they have eavesdroppers and put on "a show" where they say all sorts of things for gullible stalkers to hear! :guffaw:

They don't have to call for Security or bouncers. Simply spin whoppers then go on-line later to see what has been written up and passed on. It can be very amusing seeing what people pick up and "report" as fact. :rommie:

You obviously haven't lived in California where that's a common past-time and can be a highly amusing entertainment!

The really keen go on to the foreign language based forums as well. i.e. the Fedcon forum. A couple of recommended translators are:

http://www.freetranslation.com/
http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Then they e-mail the results to each other or compare notes over coffee and have a good laugh. It's funny how easy it is to recognize somebody after that and work out who is posting gossip on-line. Makes it easier for someone to be identified in an autograph line later (as a potential problem and someone who should not be trusted).

That's great. :D Good idea, Chuckling. :D I wouldn't mind sitting with them and visiting for a while..I'd like to hear Picardo's story about that giant tootsie roll guy that was called "The Captain's Log". :D HILARIOUS!!!
