RIP Tony Todd

Tony Todd was among those actors who could always compel me to view a piece of television or cinema...even if it was a generally subpar offering.

May he R.I.P.

I loved his various guest/recurring roles in many shows.
He was also good as a cursed, immortal sea captain on XENA, too. Kind of a Greco-Roman "Flying Dutchman."

Always thought he would have been great as the lead in a STAR TREK tv series, as opposed to simply many memorable guest appearanches. He had the charisma and talent to carry his own show.

I wonder if he could have been a great Ben Sisko. Brooks really got into the role in the late season 3 Season 4 stage (When he got bald and grew the stache) but you always think the role wouldn't work for anyone else, but I wonder what Todd could have done with it.

Tony Todd and James Earl Jones within 2 months of each other. Probably two of the best voices in the biz.

Probably as a kid the first film I really remember him from in my mind is the Night Of The Living Dead remake.

Heck, he could've been great as Jonathan Archer, too, or some other Starfleet captain invented with him in mind.

Tony Todd was a great Klingon and heavy, but he also teamed with Avery Brooks and Cirroc Lofton to make the greatest episode of Star Trek, ever.

Safe journey, Mr. Todd. And our thanks. :techman:

Really sad. :weep:

I liked him. A great actor.

He was great as Kurn in DS9. I wish that we could have seen more of Kurn in the series, an episode where he got his memory back and was re-united with Worf.

He was great as candyman and I also remember an episode of Xena-The Warrior Princess when he played Cecrops.
