RIP, Brittany Murphy

This is such a sad story,as a King of the Hill fan I loved her as Luanne and respected her for staying on it even after she made it big in the movies, most stars like her would have bolted from a tv series.:(

Brittany Murphy and Roy E. Disney this week.

AND Dan O'Bannon, screenwriter for Alien (amongst many other films). But this one takes the freakin' cake. Brittany Murphy... dead.... That one's hard to accept. She was only five years older than me. I loved her for her work on "King of the Hill" and in the movie Clueless. Not to mention... damn that woman was gorgeous! :wah: :scream:

Wow. I'm very surprised by this. Very sad to hear.

Memo to Demi Moore: This is what Ashton Kutcher does to people. Run, and run fast.

Yeah, six years and two domestic partners later...

Honestly, not cool.

Apparently the girl loved drugs as much as she loved sex. She banged some porter at some kids barmitsfa supposedly. My kind of girl. Unlike Lyndsey Lohan, she could handle that type of lifestyle. Then, again.....
Drugs and/or an eating disorder can take it's toll on the heart.

...and here come the gossipy rumors. Is it true? I dunno. Maybe...maybe not. Unless you have a link or something that proves this, why bring it up? Have some class.

I was just floored when I heard about this, had to check CNN to confirm it. Wow...just...it makes you think, ya know? How suddenly it can all end, and to think she was alone... that's even worst, to think that maybe if smeone found her earlier then they did...

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy.

The eating disorder during her younger years is true. She talked about it a lot when she broke out in Clueless. The drug rumors are just that so far.

I belive the word you were looking for was Bar Mitzvah which is a coming of age ceremony for a Jewish boy or Girl when they turn 13 and 12 respectively.

I was in love with her when I was younger...I am shocked & saddened by this.

Rest In Heavenly Peace Brittany.

:(

I liked Brittany from her very early Torklesons: Almost Home series. I didn't want to like her. They had changed the show radically from the first season, and she was part of the changes. While I never liked the new incarnation of the show nearly as much as the original Torklesons, I could not deny that Brittany was a talented little actress.

I haven't really followed her since then, other than to know she had had a decent career in the years following. I was absolutely shocked looking through the slideshow attached to the CNN article. It is true, I have no knowledge of her personal life. However, her pictures give a strong impression of someone with an eating disorder. Barring that, she must have been either on drugs or suffering some other unknown health problem. She was just unhealthily thin, with that bony, bobble-headed look that should concern anyone close to her. :(

Whatever the reason, it's very sad. :(

Other than her voice work in Happy Feet I haven't seen (or heard) anything she appeared in, but that's beside the point: 32 is far too young to die. RIP.

I thought she was fantastic in Sin City. Obviously she won't be in the sequel now. :( Surprising news.

Very sad..so very sad:(:borg:
I just learned about this and just could not believe it at first, I though someone was making a prank on Facebook.

She died before her time:( I found her to be a good actress and she seemed to be a nice person also.
Rest In Peace Brittany.

The articles I have read indicated she was very sick with "flu-like symptoms" leading up to her death. If any drugs played a factor, they were probably the prescription kind.

32... way too young to die. How awful.

I can't say I've actually seen her in very much, but I always thought she seemed cute and charming. However, given how thin she sometimes appeared, I did wonder if she had an eating disorder or a drug problem... I wish my suspicions had been baseless, but after this, that doesn't appear to be the case. How unfortunate that she couldn't find the help she needed.

Unfortunately it is probably true. She was notorious for being kind of chunky when she was in Clueless than being really rail thin her entire career after that.

I am tired of the common misconception that a woman with a nice, natural, healthy figure is referred to as "chunky". Then again, I cannot fathom how/why people think a stick named Olivia Wilde is attractive.

Assuming that is true, it sounds similar to how my mom passed. She had flu-like symptoms for a good month. She (and the rest of us) just caulked it up to being some sort of flu, but minor as it came and went. We later learned (after she died), there is a heart condition in women that displays flu-like symptoms. My mom was relatively young (in her mid fifties). Admittingly, not as young as Murphy, but from what I was told, this condition can hit anyone at any age.

Olivia Wilde does nothing for me, and I think that towards the end Brittany Murphy was repulsively thin. But, come on, she was chunky in Clueless.

I would've still hit it, though.

I am sorry to hear of her sudden death. It must be so difficult for her family and friends right now as they wait for answers.

How very tolerant of you. I'm sure she would have been flattered by your offer to "hit it" if only she could have heard you shouting from the back of the crowd as she got into her limo.
