Well, without my facial hair, I look at least five to 10 years younger, so that's one reason why I shave it off! I still have a baby face at 46. Go figure! -- RR

In hate that feeling. Without my beard I look 10 years younger. Unfortunatly I'm 25 and it means that I'll likely be ID'ed for beer or on one occasion last time I decided on a clean shave - cigarettes.

As for Riker - definatly with. He looked far more the man in charge with the beard. Without it he just looked a little... 80's...

I prefer the way Riker when he had the beard.
His nickname of ensign baby face was well earned. he did look young without it.
He never did look right to me. he looked better with than without.

I agree. He did look much better with the beard, it also seem to help his acting too.:techman:

With the beard! I found him to be too baby faced in the first season, the beard gave him a sexier look IMO. ;)

I really don't like men with facial hair for the most part, but with Riker he looked okay with a beard later on. I also thought he looked fine without the beard when the series first started. As he became more robust, the beard suited him more.

Definitely with. He seemed more responsible (older?) with it, more of an air of command.

I've actually got a Riker beard (with the shaved cheeks that show off my oh-so-cute dimples that my wife loves), so I've gotta give props to the Great Bearded One.

I'm gonna go with the beard only because I thought it made him look more professional and mature. Without it never seemed right, even in the beginning and was just as bad in INS.

I think when he first grew the beard it was perfect; I remember liking him a lot more with it at the time. But I was surprised how sexy he looked when it was shaven off in the movies. So I guess I like both. Which makes sense I guess as I grow my beard out every few weeks now and then shave it off and start again. I like both.
