Oh great. Hugh Grant will be in this as a bumbling time-lord that's in love with the Doctor's Companion.
bumbling time-lord- I....I.....I......well....I....I...you see....
Doctor- it's your foppish hair VS mine!

My god, he should be hung, drawn and quartered for Mr Bean and The Vicar of Dibley. And that is being overly generous.
And we have of course had Blackadder in the future (Skip to 3:30 into the clip). Can you imagine a TARDIS popping up in that clip? Because I can.Black Adder meets Doctor Who? Best. Episode. Ever.![]()
Only if Ben Elton is involved. Blackadder wasn't as good when it was Curtis solo.Black Adder meets Doctor Who? Best. Episode. Ever.![]()
Hmmm....wouldn't that be cool? Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry on Doctor Who written by Richard Curtis?![]()
Blasphemy! You always need The Doctor!Hmmm....wouldn't that be cool? Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry on Doctor Who written by Richard Curtis?![]()
When you have Fry and Laurie and Richard Curtis, who the hell even needs the Doctor at that point?![]()

I thought each Black Adder series was lesser than the previous. 1 was my favorite.

The trial in the one where Blackadder was accused of being a witch was pretty good, especially the "son of the devil" scene.Only if Ben Elton is involved. Blackadder wasn't as good when it was Curtis solo.Black Adder meets Doctor Who? Best. Episode. Ever.![]()
Oh I don't know. I'll concede that the dialogue isn't as snappy, nor the characters of BlackAdder & Baldrick as well rounded and honed as in later series, but the first series still contains some of the most memorable and humorous lines in the entire run. I still crack up at things like the heaven & hell speech to the dying man in the Archbishop episode, or Percy's "famous blue stone of Galveston" (he says, pointing solemly towards the heavens) from the Spanish Infanta one.
And if the credits are anything to go by, Curtis wasn't entirely solo. Atkinson assisted him on series 1.
Yeah, I know but a guy can dream, right?!I wouldn't hold your breath. We haven't had a pure historical since Black Orchid, and before that I think the last one was The Highlanders..
