I believe he did, yes. Even more reason to like the man!
Doesn't hurt that Sam seems to be "one of us", makes it easy to root for him.
No, that was Tim Curry. Sam Witwer did voice Palpatine when he appeared in the second season of Rebels.
I believe the Witwer performance in Rebels has been replaced with McDiarmid now.

Yeah, it was Witwer early on. Then they got McDiarmid for later appearances and went back and dubbed him over Witwer.

Witwer is a fantastic talent. Really appreciate his contribution to this franchise.
The relish in how the words "Looord Vaaader" literally drip from his lips is just spectacular. Sure, McDiarmid is THE emperor and always does a marvelous job, but Witwer is absolutely amazing in the role.

I agree they shouldn't be limited by the structure, I'd hardly call it a "bizarre notion."

Even TWOK, TSFS and TVH form something of an informal trilogy that was never originally intended. I don't mind trilogies as long as they're, you know, good.

I think I see what they want. A MCU! As series of stand alone movies loosely connected will occasionly lead to their version of the Avengers. This explains the lack of planning with the current trilogy. Find away to kill all the old characters you don't care about to build around Rey,Finn and Kylo Ren where maybe they each even get their own movie even. Jason
