Didn't he also voiced Sidious in the latter seasons of the Clone Wars?
I believe he did, yes. Even more reason to like the man!
Doesn't hurt that Sam seems to be "one of us", makes it easy to root for him.
No, that was Tim Curry. Sam Witwer did voice Palpatine when he appeared in the second season of Rebels.
I believe the Witwer performance in Rebels has been replaced with McDiarmid now.
I thought the Palpatine appearance in Rebels was always Ian McDiarmid?
The IMDB for The Siege of Lothal does show Sam Witwer as the voice of Palpatine in the original airing of the episode:
Yeah, it was Witwer early on. Then they got McDiarmid for later appearances and went back and dubbed him over Witwer.
Witwer did a fantastic job as the Emperor, though. I found a clip on YouTube with his original performance:
I believe he voiced the Emperor in The Force Unleashed, too. (Where he also played the main role.)
Witwer is a fantastic talent. Really appreciate his contribution to this franchise.
The relish in how the words "Looord Vaaader" literally drip from his lips is just spectacular. Sure, McDiarmid is THE emperor and always does a marvelous job, but Witwer is absolutely amazing in the role.
Ryan Johnson visited the set of The Mandalorian this season and was so impressed that he decided he wants to direct an episode next season if his schedule will allow it.
Which we can only interpret as proof Rian Johnson's trilogy has been cancelled, obviously.
Sam Witwer is a great actor! Him in Supergirl lastyear was great.. Total Douche Canoe!
Obviously. If he has time to direct an episode, how come his trilogy isn’t coming along quicker? Huh?!? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW, RIAN!!!!
But some guy on YouTube said he had been escorted off the premises after being fired for making the manbabies cry on Twitter.
