And my enthusiasm proved to be pretty off-putting.
But no one seemed to want to say anything to the new guy. I thought I'd kind of try to make him feel part of the team - a very Chakotay-like thought, isn't it?

- and see how this ended.
Next time a potential new member presents, I'll stay silent until one of you guys has started bashing an episode. Perhaps that'll help.
And yes, I love Voyager the way it is (except FURY). There are minor things that I notice (like how the number of the crew keeps fluctuating or if a person said something in Season 2, why didn't (s)he behave in accordingly in Season 5), but to me these are small nuisances not even worth pointing out.
Actually before I had joined these VOY fora (first on IMDB, but I never actually joined it - I was only a reader; then on FACEBOOK, which, as you know was kind enough to throw me out due to a certain person's not liking me; and now here), I never even noticed most of the things people keep pointing out as negative things about Voyager. And this coming from someone who is watching the show for the 35th time!
And even after I read about those things, most of the times I felt like who cares when the episode in itself is a very entertaining one? For me, this is the big appeal of Voyager: it might be inconsistent and with little continuity but I love every minute of it. It's so enjoyable!
Unfortunately it's not the case with the other Trek shows. They are simply boring. I believe it when people say that in a lot of ways those were written much better ... but entertainment is the operative word for me and I'm afraid I only get that from Voyager ...
But I'm gushing again ... so I'd better stop. How many people are going to be put off by my enthusiasm this time, I wonder ...
