I wonder if this has to do with that meeting with Oh and if she's some kind of sleeper agentJurati getsVulcan mind-melded.
Jurati getsVulcan mind-melded.
"Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history. Then, the unimaginable. What did that cost you? Your faith? Your faith in us? Your faith in yourself? Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?"
That bit from the original teaser has been bugging me for a bit now - obviously, it's not the delivery or wording used in the actual interview from ep 1. Not only is the delivery much softer, but "you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history" doesn't line up with the actual story being told, where he certainly did not 'lead them out of the darkness'. Was that a deliberate mislead?
Yeah, but the teaser version seemed to imply that it was what Picard did to make sure the mission *succeeded* that caused his crisis of confidence, rather than the *failure* of it as in the final version. It's a pretty big difference in concept, not just in detail. This was delivered by an actress specifically for this trailer. I think it probably got reworked before the show's debut.
The part when Picard tells the Admiral “a young women came to see me .. she could be in serious danger” didn’t make the final cut, presumably because that young woman was already dead. Was that created for the trailer to make Dahj’s death more of a surprise?
I believe we haven't seen anything in any of the trailers beyond Episode 7.
So, to summarize the near future:
Episode 5 - Crew goes to Freecloud, Seven kicks butt, Maddox is found (though he might die or something).
Episode 6 - Location of cube apparently gained from Maddox. Picard goes there, meets up with Hugh and Soji.
Episode 7 - Picard & Co decide to hide out wherever the Rikers live. We see Picard and Soji walking with a girl who is apparently Kestra, who would be the teenage daughter of Will and Deanna.
Marketing, aka false advertising. As old as advertising itself"Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history. Then, the unimaginable. What did that cost you? Your faith? Your faith in us? Your faith in yourself? Tell us, why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?"

I want to see the Enterprise, damn it. And not -E, nor new -F, but the good old -D that has been salvaged and rebuilt.I think it's actually pretty interesting that we don't know anything about the last three episodes. It means they're saving something very exciting for us (e.g. unexpected TNG guest, plot twist, etc...).
she was in Episode 1, beauty shot includedI want to see the Enterprise, damn it. And not -E, nor new -F, but the good old -D that has been salvaged and rebuilt.
Not good enough, damnit!she was in Episode 1, beauty shot included
Since Deanna crashed the ship over 20 years ago, I guess dream sequence is as good as it gets
so you would actually root for a Galaxy/Enterprise - Frankenstein monstrosity? Not good enough, damnit!
20 years plenty of time to salvage it and rebuild it with star drive section from the Galaxy itself which is understood to have suffered heavy damage during Dominion war and may have to be scuttled.
It's the same class. Also the first two ships off the line. Stands to reason they would be very closely related with easily swappable parts. I want E-D! "Borrowing" star drive from another Galaxy (especially since there are a lot of them out there) is no big deal.so you would actually root for a Galaxy/Enterprise - Frankenstein monstrosity?
But would it have three nacelles?I could see them having the Enterprise-E swooping in to save them at some point, but I think it is too early to pull that trigger.
