Resident Evil FILM Franchise

I thought about Wesker, and there really was no need to put him in the film at all. He does nothing except bitch and moan. He's wearing the shades... but why? He was wearing them throughout the series because he was masking his red eyes after injecting himself with one of the viruses. Here he is head of Umbrella... how? lol.

Wesker was supposed to be the main enemy in the 4th one set in Toyko so they introduced him in the 3rd movie. However I don't know about those plans anymore.

I just took a look at the WIKI page for Extinction and it links to an IGN interview with Anderson. He's writing (but not directing) and the film will take place in both Alaska and Tokyo. It will continue to follow both Alice and Claire and its similar to RE2 and darker (I'm hoping that means its closer to the game RE2 and not Apocalypse).

I thought I heard Mila wasnt going to be in anymore Resident Evil films. Glad that seems to not be true and she will hopefully be in any fourth film as I liked her performances.

I enjoyed all three movies. I found them entertaining and Alice a good character. What I didnt really like was the animated one, I didnt think either the animation or voice acting was particularly good.

^ The animated one is a new series of films they're going to be doing as a tie in with the games. I've heard rumors they're planning on doing another animated film as well.

The WIKI entry seemed to be a cut and paste of the article. As you said though anything could happen. I do believe though that Alice will still be in the film.

By the animated film I presume you mean Degeneration - which if you did, it was a fucking awesome movie. For the film time ever, I actually felt like I was watching something about Resident Evil in a film that not only made sence, but was decent enough to call itself "Resident Evil".

And God, I hope you're right by saying Milla isn't coming back. Base the damn movie on Chris or Jill. 2 hours of Jill I'll be nursing a semi by the end of it. 2 hours of Ali Larter and I'll be nursed out of the cinema by paramedics.

They have Milla Jovovich, but that's about all they have going for them. Hell, I even kind of liked Ultraviolet just because I have a huge...ahem...crush on Milla.

Otherwise, they're pretty much pure dreck.

Degeneration was a much better RE movie--but it's still RE, so that's not saying much. Kidding, RE fans!

Degeneration was AWESOME. After seeing the steaming pile of shit movies, it was so refreshing to see a film that actually had something to do with RESIDENT EVIL.

On the same note, I used to have a thing for Forest Speyer in the game. I mean, not the dead version, I mean his picture in the manual <3

Omg me too! Not in a sexual way, but I thought his whole backstory was awesome (being the only competition to Chris Redfield etc). I always get sort of... "giddy" when I hear names of people from past games and stuff, like when Brad was introduced in Resident Evil 2, I couldn't believe it.

I also get the same feeling when I hear "Captain Pike" on Star Trek .

Getting on the subject of films, I'm hoping they're going to go ahead and make a second CGI film, I can't see it happening as Capcom have said they intend to reboot the Resident Evil franchise again (which I'm praying it isn't some shitting action game). It's like, I was 12ish when I played RE1 for the first time, I'm almost 22 now and I get almost the same reaction playing it now as I did then. Make RE like that!

I'm 25 and have been getting hard nipples over RE since it first came out. Best series I have ever played in my life (posted some of my collection in the pic thread if you haven't already seen it).

RE0 should have never been made but since it was, it should have had Forest as a playable character instead of that rip off, Billy, and boring Rebecca.


Another CGI would be amazing. I wouldn't mind the movies if someone who knew what they were doing started the franchise over again and actually made it Resident Evil.

The three live action movies, I could have done without seeing. It like watching a train wreck. You don't want to watch, but you can't turn away.

On the other hand, the Japanese anime, Degeneration was a good solid movie. I don't know if it was the anime itself, or the story line. I just know that is how an anime should be done.

Haha, nice pictures! You've got almost as much as I do . You've got the Resi PS3 which is so awesome! I actually bought another 360 because it was the red one for RE.

You've got all the GC games which is fantastic! I always loved the GC, but I've got all my games for the PS1, all originals I bought when I was younger. But you've got stuff like Jills berry! . God you're fantastic, lol.

The "rarest" thing I have is the special edition suitcase for RE5. Had to buy it on e-bay . I'm such a nerd when it comes to Resident Evil, lolol.
