I've heard a lot of good things about this show so I'm watching the first episode. So far I'm liking the soundtrack. Not sure if I really should be putting my faith into Syfy again (They have a tendency to cancel shows like 3 or 4 seasons in, a la Farscape), but I'm going to give this show a chance.
Finished the first season tonight. I really liked this show and wish I had seen it sooner. It has a great soundtrack, but the deeper I got into the season the more I loved Harry's wisecracks and inner thoughts. Also, the two kids are great, and I did like the other characters a lot. Even characters I started not liking, like Mike, had some redeeming qualities in the end. I felt bad for D'Arcy though at the end of the season. She was so positive to start the series that where they left her was kind of dark.

Just wanted to bump this thread back up because tonight Season 2 starts. Really excited for the premiere.
Great start to the season. I love the Kids, but I think I'm loving Sahar more with each episode. Her scene with Max on the field with the ship was great. The scene with Harry and Max at the end was also great with the whole shit in pocket and I know you are but what am I.
Oh yeah, this was an excellent premiere and it seems like they were able to hold onto all the qualities that made season 1 great and continue with them in season 2. IE, that unique mixture hilarious comedy and really poignant character based drama.
Good start to the season. The timing was a little weird though. Max's mother was looking for him because it was lunch time. And then (presumably) shortly after, his dad finds him at the baseball field. The baseball game then starts. The next time we see the game, the sun has gone down.
So, where there multiple games that day? And if so, it seems unlikely that nobody would have run into the invisible space ship in all that time. Not a big deal, just something I noticed.

I loved Harry thinking he was Briscoe from Law & Order.
Kate and Ben are getting kinda creep. I noticed the actors who play Ben and Max are regulars, but not the actress who plays Kate. It seems kind of weird that she wouldn't be, when she's in it just as much as they are.
Harry saving the octopus was great. I wonder if he'll be sticking around? I know we saw him in a tank in Harry's house in one of the trailers.
