Spoilers Resident Alien (2020 SyFy)

Was it just me or were a lot of the "outdoor" scenes in the episode clearly shot on set in front of a green screen? COVID issues?

Didn't look like it to me.

Hmm...

"Run you elegant bastard!" :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I just love this show.. Tudyk is just aweome in it, the story itself is great and the characters are hilarious ( especially the mayor and his wife at the moment after their Black Widow/Daredevil moment last season).

So I got the impression in the previous episode that Harry had used one of his space balls (heh) to change his appearance and that ended up destroying the ball. Then in the latest episode he did it again. So did he use another ball or did that previous ball give him the ability forever? Or was there another explanation I just missed?

I don't remember it destroying the ball.
This one was pretty fun.
Harry flirting with Carlyn and her being into it was hilarious, and so was Alex Borstein as Carlyn/Harry.
I was a tiny bit disappointed they wiped Sheriff Mike and Liv's memories of Harry being an alien, but I can see where Mike knowing might not be a good idea. I'm curious if they're going to do more with Liv seeing a UFO as a kid later.
The ladies finding out about the pay discrepancies and their little drunken visit to Ben was fun.

I don't remember it destroying the ball.

I may have misinterpreted what happened, but it certainly looked like (to me that) the sphere crumbled to sandy powder as Harry reverted from his Asha guise to that of Vanderspeigle.

When I learned the show had been moved from its original 10 PM slot to 9 PM, I feared they might dial back some of the saucier aspects we saw in the first season. But the women openly talking about, ahem, self gratification toys, obviously, the show remains as raunchy as last year!

Anybody else think the direction they're going with Darcy this year is weird? They made some great points in the most most recent ep about issues women face. One of them was having to deal with unwanted physical advances. But that's exactly what she did to the mayor in last season's finale and now it seems like she's tormenting him about it for no reason and he seems to feel terrible about it even though he did nothing wrong. Anybody else find this odd?

I'm very curious where things are going to go after the massive game changing set up we got in the mid-season finale.

Not trying to be a wet blanket, but as great as this news is, SyFy has (at least in recent years) typically pulled the plug on shows after the third season. But still, at least we are getting another season of a great show, so regardless if it is the last or not, at least there's another season of entertainment ahead of us. A reason to celebrate, certainly.

I've been watching Season 2 to get ready for the show's return and it is a lot better the second time around and probably on a binge. I still didn't enjoy Episode 3 of the season (it didn't really feel like Resident Alien to me) but the rest has had that heart that was prevalent in Season 1, especially with Olivia and Mike and Asta and Harry. Currently watching the episode prior to the hiatus and looking forward to the return next week.
