I'm not saying it will get as extreme as seen in this episode ,but it shows a divided society politically...as today.

I can see the left wing ,and the right wing in it.

This episode was so interesting and disturbing. I think it is really in the Star Trek tradition of addressing issues from a slant. Great episode.

Well I see the left as looking for constant change.

That can be good ,and that can be bad depending on what it is. (as one side seemed to be)

The right on the other hand seems to be more like hey...lets not change for the sake of change.

Some of the old ways still work...maybe they were there for a reason.

I'm not saying all Liberals are like this but there seems to be this need to tell you how to live your life ,and what you should believe.

Sorry but I think you might need to study a little more about politics, you're getting Liberals confused with Conservatives with your example of telling someone how to live their lives.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread, but I've been rewatching Voyager this week (On a little bit of a Voyager High so I continued where I left off months ago at the end of Season 2) and got to this episode. I'm not sure if it's the same or not, but I saw this episode not just an allegory to the Holocaust, but just overall propaganda as well.

I think this episode is more powerful with each viewing. When we find out what happened and the Anger that B'ellana shows is just one of the more powerful moments in Voyager and it was very good.
