Remember those VHS tapes with two episodes on them?

When I was a kid I had quite a few of them. My parents would occasionally get me one when we were at the supermarket. I'd usually have to pick between a DS9 one and a Voyager one, and going in blind I picked some real stinkers (threshold)

I think they were about 12 pounds at the time (which is about $20) so I guess a whole season would set you back $140 which seems nuts now.

I actually recently went to a yard sale and the guy had about 20 of these tapes, which he was selling for like $2 each. I didn't get them because I have netflix now but kinda wish I had just for nostalgia.

I'm sure I had the whole series - in fact, the first cassette I bought was a Betamax with Errand of Mercy on it!
When the DVDs came out, I passed the tapes on to a friend.
When the Blu-Rays came out, I bought the season sets ...
Shit, that was a lot of money.
At least I passed on LaserDiscs (if there were any).
