In All Good Things where Picard "contacts Riker at Farpoint"?

What an absolute matter of laziness by the producers etc.
Blatantly reusing footage from The Arsenal of Freedom!

Lets it down for me overall.

They arguably could have finished all his scenes save for the one viewscreen moment, then shave and do the close-up... or voiceover on another scene had they found one suitable - Frakes was already doing some voiceover stuff, but close-ups also betray spoken material not being in sync. So finding footage they could shoehorn in, a la that Simpsons episode where Radioactive Man: The Motion Picture was filmed (great episode!), was ultimately decided as the thing to do.

As they were also doing Generations (and DS9 by the same production staff), it was probably the quickest workaround. 1994 may have been a golden age with quantity of material and large viewership ratings, but all those duck feet paddlin' just aren't noticed.

Have you been holding this in for 26 years?

Reusing the STVI destruction of the Bird of Prey footage in STVII is laziness by the producers.

Reusing the Enterprise leaving spacedock footage in STII is laziness by the producers.

Reusing a tiny scene from an insignificant episode that no one remembers is NOT laziness by the producers.
