Reign - The CW

Wait? That's one of the more accurate predictions of Nostradamus that almost got him killed, isn't it?

I wonder what sort of lead in we'll get to that?

Noz foresees the death of the king.

Writes it down.

Gets it published and...

This version of Nostradamus that we are experiencing here, doesn't really seem like he already has a book deal.

Wouldn't that be very interesting to see take birth?

A sleazy 15th century agent/publicist trying to pull Nostradamus as a client, and then take him on booktour and...

It is indeed.

It looks like Lola has found herself a husband who will marry her although he knows her secret.

Francis and Mary discover the secret clause in their marriage contract that could affect Scotland's future. Catherine finds out Mary's plan and has Lord MacKenzie and his men murdered before they can carry out their mission. But nice counter move when Mary threatens to expose Henry's rather unstable state of mind, which could spell trouble for France.

Mary's brother James came to France to persuade Mary to go back to Scotland, but Francis learned there would be an attempt on Mary's life. So why didn't he just tell her?

Finally, Catherine succeeded in ousting Penelope out of Henry's bedroom. Who's haunting the King of France?

James, Earl of Moray, has a few problems. For one thing, he's still five years away from Mary ennobling him once Francis is dead and she's returned to Scotland. :)

The other thing? Yes, he was Mary's half-brother, but he was a bastard half-brother, had no title, and no claim to the throne.

I can sort of see how the English plot might work -- assassinate Mary, and then there's a scramble by the aristocracy for the vacant throne.

If the series is trying to implicate that James is part of the plot, then we're in Alien Space Bats territory because, eventually, James becomes one of Mary's chief counselors and regent during the infancy of her son, James VI. He is instrumental in driving Mary from the throne a decade hence, but that's much later, once he has political power in Scotland.

Finally, Catherine succeeded in ousting Penelope out of Henry's bedroom. Who's haunting the King of France?

I saw the suggestion on Twitter last night that it's the ghost of Francis, Henri's older brother, who died under mysterious circumstances when he was eighteen.

Why It Matters That ‘Reign’ Ditched Its Love Triangle

Despite reading the comments, I can't believe that anyone genuinely believed the "triangle" was going to be any sort of lasting concern. I like Bash a great deal as a character, don't get me wrong, but he wasn't more than a temporary obstacle to Mary and Francis, not unlike the Portuguese bastard from earlier in the season.

Penelope claimed to be pregnant with Henry's child. But when Catherine locked her up in the tower prison, she fessed up. Now Catherine sent her off to be trained in good manners and the art of deception to be one of her future "squad" members.

So Francis eventually agreed to Henry's bold and seemingly mindless plan to invade Calais after he realized it would help further their advances while protecting Scotland in the process (though the initial plan was to quell the rebellion in Mary's kingdom). I didn't get that part. How exactly would Francis accomplish that?

Looks like Bash and Kenna finally consummated their marriage.

Have you never played Risk Griffyndorian?

Henry's plan was to attack with one army on one front.

Francis' plan was to attack with two armies on two fronts.

They will find your weakness eventually, and then you will submit.

Gun salesman: [Van Pelt hands an empty elephant gun shell to the gun store salesman] You know they stopped making these in 1903...? Hunter Van Pelt: Damn. I'll be needing a replacement weapon.
I like Zathura. It's underrated, but you do get to see what Kristin Stewart is worth as an actress from the beginning of her career. A frozen mute statue locked in the basement for three quarters of the movie.

A third Jumanji movie would be swell.

The show has one thing working for it other than playing fast and loose with history, Nostradamus! They could show stuff from the past century and even now! :D

So they order him to see the Future of England... And Nostradamus tunes into broadcasts of Blackadder II.

No one told me that Miranda was playing a 14 year old.

I just thought she had a sexy lisp.

I don't think Francis is given enough credit. What is the worst thing he has done?

ETA: Guy I'd settle for a glimpse of Absolutely Fabulous! :adore:
