The U.S. is opening its borders to take in about 10,000 more Syrian refugees, which I'm glad we are, but at the same time I wonder at the practicality of it.

I guess leaving this problem for a small country like Austria (which has already taken in a lot of people, anyway) to deal with is the new European solidarity.![]()
