Red Hair

Though I believe that Diana Rigg and Julie Newmar were brunettes in real life, Rigg's Mrs Peel and Newmar's Catwoman were both redheads, and probably the source of my obsession.

More recently... Learning that Laura Prepon of "That 70's Show" wasn't really a redhead was a trauma I nearly didn't survive. I only pulled through (so to speak) with the help of Tori Amos and Alicia Witt.

Really? I'm not so sure about that.

It seems to me that if we eventually become "One People" it will mean that those who choose to preserve superficial differences will be seen as, well, racists.

I mean, how could small pockets of people who seek to be as black or pale as possible be seen as anything but oddities?

I'm just musing here on our far-off future.

Well the human race is so diverse that it would take several millennia for the entire species to become that generic. genetic engineering is only a few centuries, or even decades, away.

Genetic engineering is with us right now. Just ask your dog or cat(if you have one.)

As for the total blending of superficial differences, yeah, that could take thousands, or even tens of thousands of years.

IMO
Well, I meant as a business/part of every-day life. The only reason it isn't now is because of the ethical cesspool it's stuck in, but it's only a matter of time before the profit margin wins and the ethics be damned.

I've seen her on X-Play's video podcast. She did a report on a massive LAN party over here in the UK. She came across as being as dumb as a post. She reacted with complete amazement at everything she saw. "You're from Finland? OH MY GOD! THAT'S AMAZING!"

In relation to this, isn't Morgan Webb also a redhead? When she started changing her hair to black, I thought it she made a big mistake. Maybe it's a wig though, but black doesn't suit her at all.

She has, apparently dyed her hair all sorts of colours, including one particularly bad job which gave it a semi-permanent red tint. She also dyed her hair so often that it started to go green so she shaved it all off.

I guess that must be why she has an unnatural looking black wig now, or at least I think it's a wig.

. . . Ann-Margaret wasn't the original redhead. That was Rita Hayworth.
Anyone have a pic?

Yes...

That's a tinted black & white photo. CHEAT! :p

Dude, I gotta work with what I got.

I have dozens-hundreds of pics of Rita Hayworth. :D I think this animated gif is better.

(It is 1.5 MB so it may take a a bit to load)

Well l am not sure of this but our new pm has had her hair dyed darker.
The media last night was showing some of the things she has done in the past and you could see that her hair was lighter Red.
She has fair skin and you can tell she looks after herself
I was shocked when they said she was 48 yrs old.
I thought she was younger
There is another red head who has made it famous as a actress in America
That is Nicole Kidman
She always looks good too

I've always had a love for red hair and longed to have chestnut/brownish-red hair instead of my dark brunette hair. I colored it that way once but I'm too lazy to maintain hair coloring until I go gray. Anyway, I blame my red hair obsession on the fact that The Little Mermaid was one of the first movies I saw and I wanted nothing more in life than to be Ariel one day. :)

It seems to me that many of the girls with minor one-episode roles in TOS have brownish-red hair. Lt. McGivers (Space Seed), for example. I love her hair color.

auntiehill, I think you look lovely with your red hair. It suits your coloring very well!

Thanks! I'm much too pale to be anything but a redhead.

God Lord, I was in college when Little Mermaid came out. I must be twice your age.

Since red hair is a recessive gene, and we're all breeding without thought to hair color, red hair should be bred out of our species eventually.

That will be a sad, sad day for all. :(

Poor recessives. I've read that caucasians will be gone in less than 10,000 years.

Raelee Hill, in Farscape. She was lovely. Still is. Not on screen often enough. Last time I saw her was in an ad.

As for Tori Amos, after her song, 'Big Wheel', where she sang about being a MILF, well, hard to ignore her. :)

Tori Amos is hot, and one of my Facebook buddies, along w/ a plethora of other hot redheaded ladies.
