"The Best of Both Worlds" is overrated, but the Borg are not the reason. They're awesome in this episode. "Scorpion" is also good.
If you just have 45 minutes to spend, "Infinite Regress" and "I, Borg" are decent.
How about... an episode that makes you think?
Since these are episodes we recommend, I'd go with either "Repentance" or "The Outcast". Both have endings that move me to outrage... but that is how they make their point.

Tough ask! None of the ones I can think of rank as top-tier TOS, at least not for me, but I think "The Tholian Web" is probably the best of the bunch. I like the tension Kirk's situation creates between Spock and McCoy.

"Year of Hell part 2" is epic. Time's Arrow Part 2" or "Past Tense Part 2" are also good, and "Ad Astra Per Aspera" if you want Nu Trek.
