On my old phone, probably. On my new phone, which I've had less than a month, not until just now
I never got that, tbh, because I assume Spock must hold some doctorates in science. He's Mr. Spock because that's just naval nomenclature.
Uhuru is also the spelling used by the credits to Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. So, I guess it's an official variant and perfectly acceptable to use.
Remember that in future editing ventures.
As I said on page 2, Uhuru is the actual, original spelling in (English character) Swahili. There was no feminine variant until GR came up with Uhura for Star Trek.
Yes, I read it. It's still notable that the credits were written incorrectly in that film (or perhaps edited by someone unfamiliar with Uhura but familiar with the Uhuru name).
Just as likely that it was someone who believed that because it was that kiddie medium science fiction, it must be wrong. We'll probably never know for sure.
Or maybe there was just a typo in the credits?
