Rebooted Miranda Class...

Great Wallpaper :techman::drool:

wh is it called : The escape ?
Because my inspiration was from a screenshot from Star Trek 3, where the Excelsior is coming after the Enterprise. This time, Enterprise is chasing Reliant. :)

Maybe in this timeline, Kirk takes Khan to the Starbase, instead of dropping him off. He escapes, and steals the Reliant. :)

That'd be a good way to have the space seed/TWOK story in this universe.

That's what I was thinking. :) If it was done that way, it could take place almost any time, and would be an easy way of introducing Khan, and dealing with him all in the same story. :)

This ship would do well in the Prime verse as well. It's bigger than the original Miranda so the nacelles would need to be bigger. Perhaps a variant of the Excelsior's nacelles.

Thanks guys. :)

Yeah, a standard refit style nacelle would be WAY too small. :) These new engines are gigantic. :)

OK, here's my 30 minute image....

I like this one. I think the Starbase holds up better in a distance shot. :)

I think i just came. :o

Well, I re-tweaked the previous image, with the new Earth I built today...

I like it... It's more colorful. :)
I like it too. Very nicely done.

Two friendly suggestions:
1 The moon is out of proportion. Compare with

2 As a amateur photographer might I suggest The Rule of Thirds and other composition guidelines ?

No, the moon's sadly way too big there, particularly to be behind the Earth like that... That shot puts the moon at only about 40 to 50 kmi out.

Though that's maybe why all the starships are running.

Respectfully disagree. The shuttle pic above was taken in low Earth orbit, so the Earth is going to be *much* bigger than the moon, as opposed to a pic that was taken far away from the Earth, where they'd be closer to their actual proportions.
The Moon, as MadMan1701A is depicting it, is about the size when you set the Earth and Moon side-by-side. At its distance of a quarter of a million miles, it looks much smaller.

Yeah, the moon is too big. :)

Also, I don't know what made me put the earth at that odd angle, either. It looks odd, looking at it again...

I don't like this image as much now, as when I made it. Maybe I was tired. The moon is awfully blurry for some reason, too. :)

I'm going to be doing some experimenting in Photoshop, to come up with some new techniques. I hope I can take all of this to the next level. :)

NuKhan needed a distraction to assist in his escape.

Personally I'd rather this was called anything other than Miranda-class Reliant.

But then, the Enterprise herself looks different too.

Either way, I do like it!
