Rate the Signature Above You!

6/10. There's more to it than might first appear, I think. And it's amusing enough.

(PS: Jaytrek, I finally realized which song your old signature was referencing. It was on my favorite radio station last night and I thought "oh! This is Jaytrek's song". But now you've changed the song, so I'm behind again )

^The second quote? I kept the first one, and now the new first quote is from an earlier part in the same song as the second quote was (The Chain). I tried blending the quotes- hope it works!

I keep changing it partly because of the ratings from this thread, and partly because I'm still looking for a more permanent signature.

10/10. I still love that.

8.5/10 Good mash up of two songs. Could make one good song.

I wonder if anyone knows what my new signature is, before they click on the link.

9/10. An obscure Marx Brothers reference from 1921? That earns a lot of brownie points, my friend.

Gotcha! :D

'Humor Risk' was real:

But the details are lost to history, so I 'extrapolated'
some dialogue.

My 'location' should have indicated that something
was amiss. ;)

I know they were pretty big on Vaudeville in the 'teens and twenties but I don't know a whole lot about their material at that time, so I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between the real deal and extrapolation.

One of the most memorable things about Groucho is a time when he was supposed to ask a woman a question:

"Hiya, Toots, how do you like the show?"

He got a little messed up and what he actually said was:

"Hiya, Tits, how do you like the show?"

:guffaw:

7/10. Nice quotes, and the more familiar I become with the songs you take them from, the more I appreciate them. Like I said before, I had a "oh, that's Jaytrek's song!" moment not too long ago, when the radio started playing something I now recognized...
