If it were 30 years ago, that's exactly what they'd be doing. The best part was the final spin revealing Pine in his 09 uniform. Guess the sets and decor will be TOS redux, what with so much of the budget going to Pine.

The energy whips never get old. Whip a person three times and they disintegrate! Who knew?At least the Ferengi's are back to the way they were originally intended to be. They're much more menacing when they're hopping all over the screen.
That was Gene's Vision ™ before Bermaga ruined it.Only in skilled hands. Otherwise, you need at least half a dozen.
It was a bit startling to see the Ferengi are now 7 feet tall and bright purple, though.

They defeat the borg in this version using vast numbers. Assimilation is faster, but you need raw material. The tribble just needs to hang out and let it happenWonder how they gonna retcon it so by TNG everyone's forgotten that the tribbles created The Borg.
Three men died simply installing the M2, and still no one raised a red flag.I didn't like it. The references were nice though - a younger Daystrom installing his M2 unit, Kirk's buddy Finnegan and Ruth and they really were, Decker and the nice Dr. Starnes with his pregnant wife. So lovely. I hope I got them all.
I don't think so. Seeing an anachronistic pantless Neelix once was one time too many.Wow, all of my doubts have been put to rest. They did a great job of staying consistent with TOS, but still making it unique.
I can't believe they actually got him to appear. I wonder if we'll see him again?
Why was he wearing that pink leotard?Did I see Mel Gibson mumbling softly to himself in the corner of the lounge scene?
