Rank the 2011/2012 New Shows

Once Upon a Time, Ringer, Unforgettable - regularly watching
Terra Nova, Charlie's Angels, Grimm - watched the pilots, haven't seen recorded later episodes yet
Pan Am, Person of Interest, A Gifted Man - tried and rejected

Time for an update:

Grimm (NBC). Yes, it's paint-by-numbers, but watchable for now.

Once Upon a Time (ABC). The premise is odd but I'm impressed they're going for full-on serialization, creatively messing around with traditional fairy tales, and still able to pull off strong ratings.

Hell on Wheels (AMC). Meh, not up to AMC's usual standards at all. I'm stockpiling episodes on my DVR and maybe I'll get around to a marathon viewing.

Pan Am (ABC). Still classy, good looking and with a compelling cast of characters, but a pronounced tendency towards sledgehammer moralizing. Probably will be lucky to get a full season.

Person of Interest (CBS). Getting close to giving up.

Terra Nova (FOX). Gave up.

Homeland (SHO). Will watch on DVD.

Verdict: American Horror Story is by far my favorite of the year, a deranged, depraved, debauched delight! :D Next week, see Zachary Quinto in a rubber gimp suit!

My update is that I am still loving Revenge and am now loving Once Upon a Time. These two are definitely my favorites for the new season. I stopped watching Person of Interest, gave up on Grimm after one episode, and haven't liked any of the new comedies.

I've seen a lot more of several shows, and several more shows. My updated list:

Liked:

1. Person of Interest
-- The Big Bang Theory (new to me)
2. Prime Suspect
-- White Collar (holdover)
-- The Mentalist (holdover)
4. Suburgatory

Thought okay (watch occasionally):

1. Last Man Standing (basically innocuous)
-- House (holdover)
-- NCIS: Los Angeles (holdover)
2. Revenge (not a bad show, but I have no interest in it; my father and sister are apparently both addicted)

Watched and dislike (worst to best):

-- Modern Family (new to me)
1. Man Up
2. Charlie's Angels
3. New Girl
4. Terra Nova
5. Whitney
6. Pan Am

It is a very typical '90s Tim Allen sitcom, which does have a time and a place, but isn't something I would watch religiously. This is the kind of show that makes for great reruns at 6 PM in the background while you're cooking dinner.

That's precisely how I feel about it, too.

Only new show that really has me sucked in is Revenge.

I enjoyed once upon a time and the pilot for American Harry story, but haven't been keeping up. I'm torn on Grimm and unforgettable, interesting concepts but I don't think they will hold up.

What do people think of the new FOX Cartoon "Allen Gregory"? I think it's alright, but I won' t be heartbroken if it's canceled.

Really getting into the twenty first century's version of Green Acres, namely, Suburgatory. Though I may have to quit if they bring a pig on.

The continuing story line in Once Upon a Time is awfully draggy but this is the other new show I'm still watching.
