Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Uh ... I don't imagine there will be a ton of sunlight in the evening.

But .. to answer your question,--- since I live in Texas, where the temperature can get to triple digits, the LAST thing I want is afternoon sun.

So the early sun would be better.

Reading Parable of the Sower by Butler.

It's amazing how spot on this book is about the 2020s. Obviously, we haven't gone as far as this book has with the dystopia, but it's pretty close.

I went out shopping today and got two pairs of new shoes, but the thing is for whatever reason I feel very happy now and not sure why that made me happy but I'm wearing one of those new shows right now.

Meanwhile a few minutes down the road from home we had a plane crash

We live 2 minutes or so from the airport

A decision of our minister of welfare regarding cancelling international adoption because of tampering, fraud and human trafficking made me wonder several things: are people who adopt selfish? Or are they misguided heroes who think they improved the life of a child of a third world country? Do they have the right for a child as other people who conceived naturally? why can't we legalise surrogacy? What about the people who were adopted who had an identity crisis because of their adoption? Do adoptive parents have the right to take away a child from their parents, family, culture, language? Or should we improve the standards of the people who want surrender their child for adoption to prevent their adoption? Should we continue adoption in countries who didn't do anything illegal regarding the adopted children? Are adopted children being reduced to a commodity? Food for thought

This is wild. This is the last thing I expected to stumble upon today.
