Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

It also helps that a WWII B-25 bomber was much smaller than a massive passenger jet from 2001, a plane also filled with highly flammable jet fuel that shot across entire floors.

I've just become an official Old Person

What nobody told me was that, from now on, I would be unable to eat or drink anything without dropping it down my front. (Contemplating changing my t-shirt for the third time today.)

<Excuse me a moment. There are some children playing in a garden. I need to hurry off and shake my stick at them>

I have a some thoughts:

1. Last Friday I had call from an unknown number from my bank asking about my insurance. I thought it was a scam at first but scammers don't ask for an appointment so I made an appointment with my bank, jokes on my bank though I have all the insurance a person can need.

2. Today I exchanged my Norwegian currency for euros and had a nice chat with the lady from the counter who recognised me from when I exchanged my euros for Norwegian currency, I got 3 cent extra from her, I guess she miscounted.

3. Since I graduated I have a social assistant who helps me with the paperwork that comes with adulthood, I had several different assistants mainly due pregnancies. There is one thing most of them have in common when we first meet: they will make a paper with my social network on it.

They will write my name in the middle with arrows pointing to the most important people in my network that consist of my mom and my friends. Because I'm still looking for things that can help me in my life, my social assistant contacted two organisations and see if I wanted them, I wanted neither of them because they were temporarily and didn't really made huge difference in my life.

The visit of both organisations were embarrassing when they came to introduce themselves. The first one had two women, one who kept comparing me to her daughter who also has autism, the second was so afraid of offending me she said nothing and I can't help but think neither of them would behave themselves like that if I didn't had autism.

The second organisation wanted to make a paper of my network, which I'm used. But she drew stick men and gave my friends the colour purple and my family the colour orange. It was so childish it was embarrassing. I'm a grown woman and this isn't elementary, so I shredded the picture and threw it away

I have an appointment on the 13th with an orthopedic surgeon for my right leg so wish me luck. I can't seem to lift it without pain in my upper leg and knee which feels strained when I do that. Also hurts like heck when I try to sit with my right leg resting on my left leg.

Hoping there's nothing going on inside that isn't serious. Slightly elevated anxiety levels the last few weeks

I visited my grandparents a few weeks ago, my grandparents, especially my grandfather are religious. My grandfather tells me on several occasions that he hopes I'll change my mind about Christianity and start attending church again because I won't get into heaven otherwise. Which pissed me off because church attendance shouldn't be a requirement to go to heaven.

Anyway, he watched mass on tv that day and it was the story of the good Samaritan. While the priest told the story I was chatting with a friend and pointed out the lack of logic in the story. Should I still share my stuff with other people if I was broke? What about people who didn't want any help? Should I force them to accept it? And what about people who took advantage of your kindness? More importantly, what about the church itself? Why should I share my stuff if they didn't?

I thought the point of the story was that you can't tell who help you out when times are tough and you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Two guys from his group could have helped him out but didn't, and it was the dude from a rival group who was the one to render aid. Kindness knows no boundaries.

Indeed. The actions of the two religious people featured in the story were basically Jesus telling His audience what they shouldn't do. The Samaritan's very different (and completely unexpected) actions were telling them what they should.

Person at the movie theater fell asleep during the trailers. Was an extremely loud snorer, like unhealthy loud. If the volume dipped low enough, his snoring would fill up the auditorium. Another person in attendance woke up him, but he was a very sound sleeper and it took a long time and a lot of effort.

Then in the final act of the movie he fell asleep again. His snoring wasn't as loud at first but it eventually returned to loud mode. An employee tried to wake him up after the movie ended and it took even longer than the first time.

What's the deal with spelling Turkey (the country) as Türkiye? Maybe that's what the Turks call their country, but I'm not Turkish and I don't speak Turkish. Countries have different names in different languages. The Germans don't insist that non-German speakers call their country Deutschland. The government of Spain doesn't demand that English speakers call their country España. So what's going on with Turkey? The English name for that country is Turkey, T-U-R-K-E-Y. Like the bird.
