Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died at 54 from drowning while on vacation with his family in Costa Rica.
According to the NYPost:
Authorities said that “two people were dragged by a water current at the beach,” though did not disclose any additional information.

That's scary, no matter how strong a swimmer you are, you need to be aware of dangerous currents at the local beach and train for how to survive those situations when you do get dragged out by currents.

Is "I'm going to have a hot cup of coa coa" a typically USA kind of thing to say or is that just movies and TV that we import?

I've never had a cup of coa coa but would Milo be the closest thing to that?

I have heard it said that it is best to not fight a rip current…just go with it, and swim along the length of the shore, then let the surf carry you in…otherwise you could cramp up, suffer a heart attack, etc.

In unrelated news—-pessimists are more diverse than optimists:

I freaking knew it.

I have a mystery for you to solve. Just a moment ago it felt and sounded like a door closed downstairs directly below me along the back yard wall. However, that type of door does not exist below me, and neither this house nor the surrounding houses have that type of door for the back yard. But I know what I heard and felt.

80 years ago today. I thought about this exact incident on the morning of September 11, 2001.
