Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Oh, I see now. I wouldn't want to see a remake, the cast and Shaloub especially are part of what made the show what it was, and I just can't see a remake being anywhere near as good.

My fault I was thinking people were talking about remakes.

I have hit a wall with my entertainment choices. I love movies and TV shows, especially the dramas that pull you in and keep you on the edge of your seat, but lately, the shows and movies Hubby & I watch have been getting to me. We were watching a Western on Netflix that had an actor I really like on it...but I had to get up and walk away. The violence, the cruelty was just too much. It was just cruelty for cruelty 's sake, killing for no reason... I couldn't take it. Maybe I'm getting old and worn down, maybe I'm too sensitive, but I am finding it hard to get excited about a lot shows and movies lately .

It's just depressing, sometimes. I get very involved in the shows I like (duh...look where I am), and I'm finding it hard to enjoy it when there's so many scenes of brutality, even when the shows/ movies are otherwise good. I'm a Walking Dead fan, for Christ's sake. That certainly wasn't a walk in the park. I loved that show and will still watch it. But seeing ads for upcoming shows like the one based on hubby's favorite video game just make me cringe. I don't want to see more senseless violence and cruelty disguised as entertainment.

Maybe I just need a break.

I think they do shows like that to push boundaries just to see how far they can push the audience and the ratings, and what's allowed.

I've been the same with movies and to me that it makes me feel uneasy us reassuring because it means I have a heart and the same for you. That's how I'd look at that..

I've had very good results with streaming in general. Although I'm a bit upset that I won't be able to watch Law & Order: Toronto anytime soon (it's a CityTV production, and as an American I'm sure I can't get their streaming service). Only thing I can do is hope an American service like Peacock picks it up.

Bank sent me a dark web alert that my email and password are out there, but the password is definitely not one I'd ever use. So what do you think the deal here is?

Probably a scammer/phishing attempt. Are you sure it really came from your bank?

Yes, it's from my bank. It's on their website. They track this sort of thing.

I'm assuming just because your info is out on the dark web, that doesn't mean it's accurate.
Could have been from a database hack and selling, but didn't have all the information. Or an autogenerated password that you updated.

Someone I follow on Facebook just posted the "I don't authorize Facebook to blah blah blah with my account" hoax post. How is this still a thing after all these years?

Went to the mall on a Sunday. The parking lots and garages were jam packed. Wondered if I’d have to drive around looking for someone to leave, but as soon as I turned the corner, there was an additional lot that was practically empty. Why? Because it wasn’t directly in front of a main entrance? All these other cars are just idling until someone leaves so they can squeeze into a space like sardines instead of parking in the empty lot and walking for 90 extra seconds.

Had kind of a scary moment while I was visiting some horses. I was petting them and one of them rolled, and then couldn't get back up at first. I was starting to panic and was about run around to the house's front door to get him help when he finally managed to get himself back up.

Up to season 3 of Medium and Allison seems a horrible person. It's a good show but watching it now my view of it's main character has somewhat changed.

Returned something to Target. I suppose it was an "expensive" item so they opened the box to make sure everything is there. Well now that they've broken the seals, what happens to it? Do they do an obvious reseal job and sell it for full price? Do stores have the ability to replicate the seals and sell for full price? Do they discount it?

usually they are resealed and put back on the shelf at the regular price. Our Targets here do that.

Either resealed with a marking that it's been open, or sold to liquidators.
