One that pays, so we have to question why does society pay for it?
We can sit back and look derisively at it but that doesn't change the amount of money that is being paid for these influencers to be a part of society in their supposed regular life. It's a fascinating cultural shift that I have observed even from 6 years ago, when I first started working with child clients at a mental health agency, being a "Youtuber" was a goal, but one considered not attainable. Fast forward, many teens and young people are finding ways to make money, even in a small way, through YouTube to the point it can be considered a "Career."
So, why are people paying for it?
