Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Doctor's office I've never gotten my blood drawn at before drew my blood. Instead of sitting down and putting my arm on top of something solid, they had me lying on my back on the medical recliner holding my arm out. What? Then the employee who stabbed me couldn't get any blood, so a second person had to come in and stab my other arm. Was able to draw blood, but there's still bruising there a few days later!

I had that happen once and yeah not fun. Bruise lasted a while too before it vanished

Is it wrong that Halloween is one of my most least favorite holidays of the year? I haven't dressed up in years, and not having many friends, Halloween has become kind of a stupid holiday. I much prefer 4th of July, Thanksgiving or Christmas. Looking forward to November when all this Halloween stuff can be behind me for another year.

While not normal, unfortunately an inexperienced phlebotomist can miss the vein and resulting in bruising.

The recliner technique can help pop the vein a little bit easier. Also, easier to manage with people who tend to faint.

I don't do Halloween either.

I haven't trick-or-treated since 1979, and I really don't like candy at all.

All I will be doing this Tuesday night is listening to the World Series on radio.

I'll open the door to the trick or treaters, but I never know how much candy to buy because I either get a lot, or so few. There really isn't an in between. Also, I'm expecting a lot since I live close to 2 schools.

I love Halloween! I love to decorate but I don't go overboard. Some people around here invest in coffins, skeletons, manikins dressed like Dracula, etc. in their front yard. I'm diabetic so I just ignore the candy part. This neighborhood goes in for parties with a different theme each year. Last year was mad scientists and the year before was zombies.

I don't care what Bioshock's morality system says; I'm still killing everything on two legs and cleansing the world of Andrew Ryan's stain forever.
Come to think of it; games I've played that have morality systems never seem to look beyond improving the self as a measure of goodness.
