Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I saw Dr. Pepper flavored Peeps on a coworker's desk. Truly fowl.
I love regular Peeps, but just sounds gross.
I always hear stories about people getting pets off of Craig's list, so just out of curiosity I looked to see what kind of horses are on there for my area, just curious if there were any that were obviously in bad shape, and one that's gotta be a con. It was a gorgeous black or dark brown horse and the people are giving him away for free. They say they want to check your place out and able to visit him, but I'm thinking this has got to be some kind of con. There's got to be some reason that they'd be so desperate to get rid of that they're giving him away for free, and it seems me that there's a pretty good chance it's not a good one.

Why's that?

Saw a sponsored post that's about the California powerball winner. A lot of comments are freaking out about his name being outed, which I agree is shitty, but they're clueless about the whole process. One guy blamed liberals for ruining the winner's life. Only a handful of states allow for anonymous claiming and for some it's only if it's above a certain amount. In other states, you're only anonymous for small winnings but not large ones. There's also the blind trust option, but that too isn't very cut and dry.

Just got a push notification, my airline (Air France) just had it's fourth mid air emergency with 787's in a week.

I fly home on a 787 next week.

In the Star Trek TNG episode "The Most Toys" That's really not an alien. Cue crazy conspiracy idea / theory That's actually Artie from Warehouse 13 found an artifact to slim himself down and live longer stole a spaceship and pretended to be an alien so he could keep collecting stuff

I am. so. bored. And lazy.

With all these damn Yellowstone spinoffs, it hit me...if they thought they could get away with doing one set in the future, they'd probably do it.

When David Rappaport was still attached, he would have been. I've seen pics of what his version of the character looked like, and it was more obviously alien.

And obviously David's suicide was a very, very sad thing...but I agree, Trek needs MORE Saul Rubinek. He absolutely crushed it as Fajo.

Check out his Outer Limits episode ("Tribunal")...

:) The world needs more Saul Rubinek. I'd love to think he lives for many centuries.

I wholeheartedly agree.

One of the best parts about being an old lady with her own house is I don't have to clean a God damn thing unless I want to. :p

I like your attitude

I agree about Yellowstone, it's getting a bit silly with the spin offs.

That outer limits was great

Is Valentine's Day harder to get through if female?
In what way are you thinking?

Personally, I hate all the ads insinuating that all I, as a woman, really want is jewelry. Or that he has to get me something to "prove his love." Oy.

It's going to be fine. *hugs*

The ads and commercialism yes. 100 percent.

Also the expectation that you have to be with someone on that day or if you express sadness on the day as a female people treat you kinder then if you were a male that kind of thing. I just wondered if that's different for a female, or the reaction you get.

If they continue to be as good as 1883 and 1923, and bring in stars like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Harrison Ford, and Helen Mirren, I'm fine with it.
I'm hoping they don't end Yellowstone just because Kevin Costner is leaving, I've only seen Season 1 and the first couple episodes of Season 2, but based on them, the rest of the cast is more capable of carrying on the show without him.

It's been a long time, but there can be a real condescension to a woman who isn't in a relationship. "You'll find someone" and suchlike.

Even worse to be a woman, partnered or not, who just doesn't think much of the holiday!

The ads aren't for you, they're for me. I want to do something nice, but being a guy (I'm being serious here for a change) I'm pretty clueless most of the time. At best, I randomly come up with something nice; at worst I blow it and you pretend.

So (in theory) I look at those ads and buy what they tell me. (Actually I don't, I take you out to a mini-golf course date as a present, or get you a Maple Leafs jersey, or any number of weird things a guy thinks a gal might like. I hope you like the Robertson screwdriver set I got you this year honey.)
It definitely sucks for guys too. (FWIW, I think the mini-golf date is pretty good.)

Maybe it just sucks for most of us!
