Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

The secret to making a great cover of a celebrated song, is to take the listener to some wholly different place they never could've envisioned that song could take them, but once they hear it, are grateful to have been taken there

My mom has been really sick in the hospital since Saturday. She went through the second of (probably) three surgeries today and she did well.
I'm feeling a little more positive now.
*HUGS* and wishing you both the best!

Agreed. That's why Devo's cover of Satisfaction will always have a place in my heart.

And why the Beach Boys' version of "California Dreamin'" is scientifically proven to be superior to the original. :mallory:

I was wondering whether James Marsden and James Marsters had ever been in a TV series or film together but apparently they haven't.
And continuing my tradition of being a klutz, last night I sat in a bowl of salad. I put it down on my chair, forgot about it, and then yeah you get the idea. :D

Is the plural of starship Enterprise b) starship Enterprises or a) starships Enterprise?
"Captain's Log, stardate whatever. We've encountered some starships Enterprise."
"First Officers Log, Tuesday. I just saw a fleet of starship Enterprises."

"Hey you, look over there. It's a whole armada of Enterprise."

Some people actually seem to think that a single guy who likes cats or has a cat is somehow "unmanly." Which is ridiculous, of course. Just try telling that to Ernest Hemingway!

A single guy who has a cat instead of a dog is just saying that he has too busy a life to have a pet who he can't leave alone all day and has to personally attend to every single one of their poops.

I don't have a cat, but I do love watching Kittisaurus videos.

Could someone explain to me why people run/jog/walk in the street when there's a perfectly good sidewalk right there next to it?

to avoid slowing down for every pedestrian, same with people riding bicycles

Maybe also the potential for unevenness between two sidewalk segments increases the risk of tripping and injury?
