Can you send them a check for $0.00?After ordering heating oil a week ago I got an invoice in the mail from them for $17.50 (For the difference between oil charged and delivered), with a note that says “$17.50 discount if the bill is paid by 2/26/22”.
I’m sure this is just their way of taking on the cost of price fluctuations in between payment and delivery. But the way it’s phrased it looks like I need to wave my hands and say “I declare this $0.00 bill PAID!!!” to avoid the charge.
But seriously, maybe you pay them $17.50 by that date, and then their system applies the discount and it ends up as a credit on your account in that amount toward the next bill.
