As mentioned in another thread, riding horseback (at any level above a walk on a guided ride on a level trail, or those kids' pony rides where the horse is kept going in a small circle) is hard work for the rider, demanding skill and physicality, as well as being able to guide the horse properly on the rider's desired path. It's a misconception that the rider "doesn't do anything."
But anyway, my random thought for today... I was waiting at a red light in a left turn lane. The guy behind me swung around to the right lane, and made a left-hand turn into the intersection from there. While the light was still red. So when it turned green, I made my turn. And I saw the same guy a little ways ahead running another red light.
