Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

What character were they trying to make a killer on The Rookie?
Give the show a try. IMO, it's even better.
I want to put in a second vote for this, but if you do watch it, I highly recommend trying to avoid the big spoilers for the end of the first episode, and the end of the season, those will be a lot more fun if you don't know before watching.

This particular poster was trying to make Nolan's firefighter girlfriend the serial killer that they've been looking for over the past few episodes, or at least the accomplice of the serial killer. Even tried to explain away why she'd act the way she did during a scene where she was the only person in the room.

We put the house on the market on Saturday. We have three offers so far. One of them is pretty good. We need to sell this house, get our new house finished, and move into it, all before Christmas.

It makes me tired just thinking about it.

And these showings at doing me in. I have to load Junior, his litter box, his cat bed and scratching post into my car and then drive around until the showings are done. Our real estate agent said some people really don't like pets (the freaks), so it's best to remove all trace of animals for the showings. Junior does not appreciate the car rides but he behaves. We spent 1.5 hrs in the car this morning, and now we're going out to spend another 2hrs in the car.

*sigh*

Good luck with everything. Give Junior a pat on the head for me.

That's just ridiculous.

Yikes, you don't have anywhere you can go hang out until they're done?

The bike shop finally finished repairing my bike this weekend and I've been back out on my daily rides. I even tried out a new route this morning that is about the same distance as my other regular route, but takes me to a different park in the opposite direction.

I don't ever plan on moving again. I will be a deceased old man before they drag me out of this house.

Hell, when I was looking for houses, I literally bought the first one I came to. I lucked out, I found one that i liked and that was in a good location. I am a totall chickenshit when it comes to comparison shopping.

Part of the original retirement plan was to buy a house back east (looking in upstate New York). COVID derailed those plans. Now figuring on staying in Southern California for the next few years. Did some looking here, but experienced sticker shock. For the down payment here, could buy outright back east.

I really hadn't thought I'd want to move from this house, unless it was to another state, but they all seem just as nuts nowadays, and 90% of the people I love are here. Like you, @Mr. Laser Beam, we lucked out on this place back in (eek!) 2004. But my hubby thinks the neighborhood has degraded some, and if I'm going to stay in Phoenix, there are some things I would like that this place doesn't have. Home prices have gone bonkers out here (like nearly everywhere!), but by the time we find someplace we really like and get this place fixed up enough to sell, we should be okay. I'm thinking it's best to start clearing clutter now.

We had our last showing today, Yay! At least, it is our last showing, as of now. We have the three offers, so we'll see if any of them will up the ante.

I really hope our new house gets finished soon. We'll have to write a lease-back into the contract if it's not.

Our little house has been a good fit but after 15+ years, we need a one story that's a bit sturdier and gives us more living space.

After two long weeks, my double secret probation has ended and I'm now an official member...woo, hoo! Still a Redshirt, but I'm used to being cannon-fodder all my life, so I can live with it LOL.

I want to thank all those here who have made me feel welcome, given me likes and contributed to the threads I made. Looking forward to many productive years here, though with my lack of free time, it will be a challenge. But then again, so is just getting out of bed in the morning anymore :sigh:.
