Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Exactly, he did the right thing because it was logical, not because it was ethically right. Under other circumstances, he would have ripped Kirk's head off. Kirk, who's cleanly shaven, by the way.

“There are times, young fellah, when every one of us must make a stand for human right and justice, or you never feel clean again.”

― Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Lost World

I presume the original comes from America. So it's propably as reliable as the US' secret service's information about Iraq's weaponry...
Fortunately, the risk of anyone bombing bearded persons based on that "factsheet" is small. Yet, as experience teaches us, there is never a zero likeliness. I have a suspicion the only unlimited substance in the universe is stupidity.

Kai, do you know this list of the trustworthiness of beards?

With Corona, a beard is not really a good idea, particularly if it protruds from the mask. You can't desinfect it every few minutes and so it'll always be a potentional infection source, and what's more: one that's dangerousely close to your respiratory system and eyes.

didn't think of that. also haven't anybody heard saying that. thx. consider it gone.

Who did the math on this? Was it a man? Did he have a beard?

The down-fall of the full bushy beard came and fell w/ Karl Marx.

iirc, Einstein never had a beard, but I do have this dubious/likely fake quote upon a couple of t-shirts and I love the nods and comments that I get when I wear one of them.

"The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits."

I learned something while in college that has stuck with me through the years. Life lesson, not classroom. I lived in a dorm with several other girls from around the state. One of them had a boyfriend that none of us liked very much. He was a big baby and expected others to cater to him. He was the nephew of a famous movie star, so maybe he thought he should get reflected glory or something. Also, there was much babytalk, yuck. Anyway, one day they broke up. The rest of us commiserated with her (although being rather relieved) and told her things like she could do better, he wasn't worthy of her, etc, then we told her we never liked him anyway and some went even farther to describe how much they disliked him. And they got back together the next week. It was very awkward, to say the least. So lesson learned.
