Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

i only know about something similar in welding and thats out on oil-rigs,
there its like 12 hour shifts for 3 weeks or so,and then back home for 3 weeks, or something like that.

^ yeah we are talking about two different things.
this:
nordkap? with my plan you get half a year off (but you pay for it the other half)
in my mind meant that you was working 6 months a year.
But you are obviously talking about daylight.... my head hurts...

anyway, of to making gif's for the scifi comp...

But he seemed very pleased about what he got done last night, so maybe he will keep doing it. I even asked for a try and he said it might be too hard for me to control -- yeah, that's bullshit but that's less work for me, so I don't care. He has a new toy now and seems to really like it. :)

Now, goad him into using it to clean the BBQ grill and the back patio.

Ha! Our back "patio" is 5ft square. What I really want is for him to get the front patio and the driveway. But it's supposed to rain all weekend, so he gets a break for now.

I have no doubt that you could handle the sprayer......but let him have what he considers control over the situation.

I believe both of you will be better for it.

But, when the rain breaks git' after him to git' on to that front patio. ;)

Then, the drive-way. Take it in time, not all at once. :)

There may be a pandemic out there in the world but at least today is bright and sunny and looks beautiful. Every little bit helps make this mess go by faster.

No baseball to watch, but these springing up help.

So I was browsing the Kobo site this afternoon, and I saw a book about a killer that referenced my city's nickname in the title. So I clicked on the listing to see the description, and sure enough, it was actually about my city. It was a non-fiction book about an unsolved serial killer case in my city decades ago. I hadn't heard about this before (to be fair, it was before I was born), so I thought I'd do some poking around on Google to learn more about it.

It turns out the first thing I found was actually about a *completely different* serial killer from my city. Researching further, I found out we actually had a number of serial killers in our history, and in fact, at one point, we were considered the "serial killer capital" not only of Canada, but of the world, because at the time, we were suspected to have the highest number of active serial killers per capita of any city on the planet.

I don't know why I'd never heard of this before, but it's kinda creepy as hell.

None taken. :)

It actually wasn't that long ago. TV existed. (Although I guess I don't really know how widespread it was around here at the time.)
