Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

A narcissist is someone who never thinks of me.

Honestly, you don't want to deal with one.

I have a long term illness and was deprived of sleep for nearly three years. The people whose job it was to stop antisocial behaviour in my neighbourhood exploited my health, neglected their duty to do their job, and then blamed/critised me for getting angry or struggling to call quick enough. (In reality, it was never good enough. There was always an excuse not to do their job, the noise wasn't severe, or I was somehow at fault blah, blah, blah. I was the only person reporting noise but it was important to keep doing it.) They did all of that with full knowledge of my health.

It's sad that people can be that messed up over something so simple. Everyone has the right to live in peace. Everyone has a basic need to sleep. I mean, after two complaint letters they smeared my name when I brought in a lawyer. Why? Because I'd broken free from their circular BS and couldn't be manipulated. I stopped playing their game. The next best thing they could do was assassinate my character. All that hostility over a lack of sleep? Which could have been resolved quickly through six phone calls, mediation or other methods that they were unwilling to try.

It's hilarious.

I feel grateful to spend Christmas with my family this year. Gonna sleep over at my parents (which wasn't possible last year) and spend time with the sis and niece.

Also... I want to pick up French again. It's been around 25 years since I learned it in high school. In 2020, I want to get back into art too but want to take it slow. Maybe switch up my style or technique.

That's more important.

I have my moments
random tought today: why is it that when it snows we automatically feel cheerful? First snow effects even animals, so it seems to be something in our oldest genes.

When you stop time it's like when you die, there's no way to reverse it.

You can't say: "I am gonna stop time and unstop it later" because there won't be any "later"!!!

Time is illusion.
It's awareness changes ... Over time.
Focused concentration can alter one's perception of the flow.

For me I have felt a week go by so slowly it seems like 10 years or last week being more like yesterday..

I don't feel particularly cheerful when it snows.

Mostly because snow is a danger to safe travel. It disrupts flights, causes car accidents, and makes people fall.

And shoveling's not very much fun either.

I'm feeling like a frog in Biology class.

A frog decides to visit a fortune teller to find out if he'll ever find his princess. The fortune teller reads his palm and after a few brief moments of contemplation, begins her reading. "I have good news and I have bad news. Which would you like to hear first?" The frog, anxious for the possibility of true love, chooses the good news first. "You are going to meet the most beautiful girl," the fortune teller says. "She's going to be very interested in you and will know everything there is to know about you. You'll open up to her and give her your heart." Pleased, the frog then cautiously asks for the so-called bad news. To this, the fortune teller replies, "You'll meet her in a Biology class."

that's an american thing. nobody does it here - wouldn't be allowed with our tierschutzgesetz (animal protection act) - the strange thing is that the nazis put it into existence

I never did that either but I don't know if it's because of policy.

Personally I think that animals should not be sacrificed unless there was a real necessity to it and it served a higher purpose, like research for a cure for example. Killing a frog for the sole purpose of showing kids what a live animal looks like when it's cut into pieces is useless and cruel. What are videos for?
