My wife is one of those people and it drives me nuts.

It’s becase could of sounds like could’ve. Which is a contraction of could have. It’s an entirely incorrect use of the words, which is why it makes no sense.

Alright, thank you for the explanation! I'll definitely never use it, to me, even as a non-native speaker, it always sounded totally weird and, as you say, incorrect.

I'm browsing Animal Humane Society's website checking out all of their adoptable cats and kittens. If I could, I'd have a cat sanctuary.

One logical inconsistency of Jurassic World which pisses me off to no end is the idea that they recreated prehistoric seas creatures. From DNA found prehistoric mosquitos travelling the oceans, presumably.

That's nothing. The indom who's never been out of her paddock knows where the aviary is and that she can use the "pterodactyls" as missiles to destroy the copter!!!

Acu, IE a dozen of people, are hoping to spur a 20-ton dinosaur toward its paddock armed with (boosted) tasers and a net that covers the dinosaur's mouth!!!

They can monitor the life-parameters of each of their trooper but can't do the same for a 26 million dollar asset!!!
