This is the coldest vacation I have ever been on. 
Are you a freegan? My neighbor regularly brings us asparagus from the lakeside every spring- guess it grows wild. I've poached mint from the lake too- it's all over anyway and it makes the yard smell better after 4 dogs. Every fall every other apple tree in the neighbor hood throws apples into the roads and I do pick some up for apples and sauce. And yes, the found food is delicious!
Surly not ,but I run around openeyed and may stand and hour in the rain watching the water flowing down a single branch..

Because they have to struggle to get there. It's the same thing in life, people who have to struggle to get somewhere (socially) are stronger than the ones that got everything from their parents.
